The surname MORATO has been linked to the ham industry for more than 100 years. The grandfather of the current owners started the family business in about 1898 in a small house where he specialised in producing and selling pork. He soon gained a reputation for his high quality meats. The company continued to grow, finally reaching its present size. Today it has a staff of 30 people who work using high-technology equipment but also respecting traditional methods
